Thigh Lift

A thigh lift (thighplasty) is done to remove excess skin from the thigh and buttocks area. This extra skin is usually caused by a large amount of weight loss or previous liposuction procedures. If you enjoy a healthy diet and exercise program and have realistic expectations, thighplasty may be right for you. Contact The Carney Center for your consultation to learn more.

ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

Inner thigh lifts are performed with incisions over the inner thigh and hidden in the groin crease.

Outer thigh and buttock lifts are performed with incisions that extend from the groin around the back. All incisions are well masked by bathing suits and scars do fade with time.

Dr. Carney will discuss whether an extended stay will be necessary. Bruising and swelling are to be expected as well as a “tight” feeling in the thighs. Dr. Carney will evaluate each patient’s recovery to determine when they will be permitted to drive, etc.
