I recently had bilateral Blepharoplasty surgery done because my eyelids were drooping and interfering with my field of vision. My ophthalmologist sent me to go see Dr. Martin Carney (son) for an evaluation. The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. Dr. Carney explained the procedure in detail and what to expect. I told him about having had Bell’s Palsy (twice) and how my left eyelid drooped more than the right. He reassured me he could help me with that. The surgery went well without any complications. My recovery was not bad at all. I am very happy with my results. Due to my eyelids being more open, I only need glasses for reading and can see far away without them. My situation was unique. I have had many compliments on how much more “awake” I look. The total experience was great! Thanks to the staff for your kindness, compliments and especially Dr Carney.
I visited the Carney Center in April 2025 for a consultation regarding a lower blepharoplasty. From the beginning, I was met with professionalism, compassion, and a clear dedication to patient care. The consultation was thorough, including medical history, an educational video, photos, and ample time to answer every question.
I chose to move forward with a lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer and Co2 laser. Dr. Martin Carney III and his team were outstanding - from the pre-op to the post-op and every step in between. The level of support, communication, and kindness I received made me feel safe, confident, and genuinely cared for.
There is often a stigma or hesitation around cosmetic procedures, but I can honestly say this is one of the best decisions I have made for myself. My self-esteem has already improved, and the constant questions about whether I’m tired, due to the bags under my eyes, are a thing of the past.
As someone in the healthcare legal field, I also want to emphasize the importance of doing your homework when choosing a surgeon. Always look for a board-certified plastic surgeon if you’re considering a surgical procedure. This ensures that your surgeon has undergone the rigorous, specialized training to safely and effectively perform cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Be cautious of “cosmetic surgeons” who may not have formal training in plastic surgery at all and may come from unrelated medical specialties. This was also one of the reasons I chose The Carney Center.

Enjoyed the experience. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. Chatted with Dr. Carney and Sandy during the procedure which kept my mind occupied.
